The Property policy provides cover, excluding the Standard £100* excess for damage caused by;

  • Fire, lightning, explosion, eatherquake
  • Aircraft
  • Escape of water from tanks & pipes
  • Escape of oil
  • Storm or flood
  • Riot of Civil Commotion
  • Impact
  • Theft or attmpted theft
  • Malicious persons **
  • Subsidence (excluded the first £1,000 of each claim)
  • Property Owners Liability (£1M Limit of Indemnity)
  • Accidental Damage
  • Loss of rent should the property become uninhabitable following damage caused by an insured peril (up to 20% of buildings sum insured)

* If a higher excess is applied this will be shown on your schedule.

** If fully furnished and subject to unoccupancy clause.

Full policy wording describing all conditions and limitations to cover are available on request. Your schedule will describe any additional limitations to cover which may be applied to your policy.

Contents cover is also available, up to a maximum of £20,000 per property.

The Property policy is suitable for all kinds of let property, unoccupied property, property undergoing renovation, holiday homes and properties of non-standard construction.

Depending on the type of property, location and occupancy/tenancy, this policy can be arranged through a range of insurers who are all members of the Association of British Insurers and the Financial Ombudsman Service.

When completing the questionnaire please answer all the sections. Should you decide to proceed with cover, this questionnaire will then form part of your proposal / application for insurance. It is important that you disclose all material facts. Material facts are those likely to influence the acceptance or assessment of this application. If you are in any doubt as to whether a fact is material or not you should disclose this as failure to do so could invalidate your policy.
